Diane’s passion for both fitness and nutrition is rooted in her dedication to continuously improve and challenge both herself and her clients. She is a huge proponent of building a lifestyle that incorporates both movement and nourishment, which allows her clients to achieve their goals and maintain their results.
Diane’s extensive educational and professional background shapes who she is as a trainer and nutritionist. She completed a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at McMaster University, is a CSEP Certified Personal Trainer and a Functional Range Conditioning Mobility Specialist. She also holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Food and Nutrition, is a Certified Nutritional Practitioner, and aims to pursue her Masters of Dietetics.
With over 10 years of experience in the health and wellness field, she has worked with a variety of athletes, of all ages, fitness levels and goals. She specializes in body weight movements, while incorporating strength training, functional movement and mobility. Her goal as a trainer is to empower her clients to feel strong and confident in their bodies, is a huge proponent of educating her clients and will make your goals her goals! You may leave her workouts crawling out; however, you’ll be running back for more.
As a nutritionist, she is passionate about educating her clients about the importance of food and nutrition on both performance and health. She specializes in sports nutrition, body composition changes, nutrition for a variety of health concerns such as hormonal, diabetes, thyroid, cardiovascular and digestive health. Through a client centered approach, she thrives to empower her clients to embrace food and nutrition as fuel which will support their bodies and not something to fear. She is dedicated to meet you where you are and committed to help you develop habits which are sustainable.
Diane is also a co-communicator for the Sports Nutrition Network for the Dietitians of Canada. Outside of clinic, you can find her working on her own goals (cleans and muscle-ups on route), going for walks with her dog, blog writing in a local coffee shop or hanging out with friends by the water, with ice cream in hand!
