Dr. Gavin O’Handley

Dr. Gavin O’Handley graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 2012, with Honours Specialization in Kinesiology—the scientific study of body movements. In 2016, he earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree with Honours from the New York Chiropractic College. During his time there, he also earned Advanced Certificates in Sport Science and Human Performance, Whole Foods Nutrition, and Custom Stabilizing Orthotics.

While practising in New York City, Dr. Gavin focused on the effects of static posture and dysfunctional movement to better explain why people present with musculoskeletal pain.  His work today is driven by a commitment to not only treat symptoms, but to assess, identify, and correct the root cause of the pain so that patients can get better and stay better. He is committed to cultivating proper movement, strength, and stability on a daily basis to lead to a better quality of life overall.

Dr. Gavin’s interest in functional movement rehabilitation started years ago when many cumulative sports injuries from rugby, lacrosse, hockey, motocross, weight lifting, snowboarding, skiing, wakeboarding, and biking began taking a toll on his quality of life—at times leaving him unable to compete or even move without pain. He can now participate in all of these activities, but has given up motocross, much to the delight of family.
